El Dorado Hills, CA – Former Fresno County Supervisor Debbie Poochigian endorsed Rep. Tom McClintock for the 5th Congressional District.
Supervisor Poochigian said, “Congressman McClintock has my strong support in his campaign to represent the people of Fresno County. Throughout his impressive career, Tom has demonstrated a depth of knowledge, thoughtfulness and effective leadership that have served his constituents, our state and nation well.”
She also said, “I am so pleased we will continue to have the benefit of his service on issues of vital importance to all of us – including controlling inflation and enjoying a vibrant economy, strengthening our criminal justice and immigration systems, and having appreciation for the importance of agriculture, forest management, and a reliable water supply for our region.”
Supervisor Poochigian served on the Fresno County Board from 2009-2017.
The newly drawn 5th Congressional District encompasses El Dorado, Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Mariposa, Stanislaus, Madera, and Fresno counties. Rep. McClintock has represented all the counties except Stanislaus County in the current 4th Congressional District.
