Congressman Tom McClintock talked with the KFBK Morning News about the President's disregard for the rule of law, the ongoing Obamacare meltdown, and costly Medicaid expansion and premium increases Americans are seeing under the law.
"[The President's] most fundamental responsibility under that Constitution is to see that the laws be faithfully executed. But instead, he has asserted this new doctrine of executive nullification, that as President, he asserts he can pick and choose which laws he wants to enforce, which laws he doesn't want to enforce," Congressman McClintock told the KFBK Morning News.
"He can pick and choose which Americans the laws apply to and which Americans will be excused," he said. "That crosses a very bright line that separates democracy from despotism, and it's called the Rule of Law."
Congressman McClintock explained that Obamacare is a disaster for the American healthcare system, once a place where people from all over the world would come to seek medical care.
The hosts noted that 75% of Obamacare enrollments are new enrollees into Medicare, to which Congressman McClintock said, "Exactly, and, of course, that is all at taxpayer expense."
"And by the way, this doesn't include the millions of Americans who are seeing massive increases in their premium costs. It doesn't include the millions of Americans who are seeing their hours cut back at work or who are seeing their wages cut or losing their jobs altogether as a result of Obamacare," said Congressman McClintock. "It doesn't include all of the college students who are now losing their low-cost health plans and seeing rate increases in the 1800% range. We can go on and on."
