HR615
Is HR 615 by John Fleming the answer to Congress being required to submit to any health care plans they impose on the public? If yes, please support it.
I think the Republican Party should build on the supposed accusation that they are the "NO" party. I say, PLEASE BE THE NO PARTY - and stop all this crazy spending. No matter how noble the idea of reforming healthcare, we are out of money and too deep in debt. The fraud in the cash for clunkers and the $8,000 mortgage debacle should teach all of us that this government cannot run anything well.
So, go ahead Republicans, Democrats and Independents: JUST SAY NOOOOOOO!
All The Hot Air
Lets face it folks and call a spade a spade. The people in power want to stay in power by getting more people to take handouts from goverment programs under any name....REMEMBER THE ROMAN EMPIRE????? We are doomed to repeat history because of the revisionist thought is now what is pervasively taught in our socialist school system and supported by SEIU, PTA, CSEA and all the other social unions. We do not need to look very far the see the results of socialism do we California as we are now close to bankruptcy as a state because of the socialistic policies of the controlling majority. What did Enistine say " Insanity is doing the same thing ovr and over again expecting a different result. Gee should someone tell them it doesn't or hasn't work for more than 40 years and now we are passing the bills to limit the freedom of our kids.
Weed Why do you use the
Weed
Why do you use the word spade??? Because Obama is black?? How would you feel if I used the term honky for you?? Your a racist ass!
Healthcare
We want the TRUTH!!!!! And Obama and his cronies insist on lying to us!
If abortion is really NOT going to be a funded benefit in the HC plan, paid for with tax payer money, then why isn't PP, NARAL & NOW protesting? Simple folks, it is because abortion IS in the HC plan. I refuse to shut up until I see the exact language that states any and all abortions will not be funded or included in the HC bill put ACTUALLY in the HC bill.
If illegals are really NOT going to get health care without paying taxes, then why are they even listed as being exempt from paying the taxes for the HC under IRS tax code of 1986 found in Section 59B of the HC bill and why isn't LA RAZA protesting? Simple folks, it is because illegals WILL get tax free HC under the plan, just like they do now! I refuse to shut up until I see the exact language in the HC bill that states any and all illegals will not receive or be exempt from paying for HC in the HC bill.
Their silence is GOLDEN!!!
Wow what an ass McClintock
Wow what an ass McClintock is! How can expect respect when he posts a video of a townhall meeting in which the narrator questions a young Asian boy with "Where is your green card?" then calls a pro health supporter a Liberal loudmouth! McClintock you have hit a new low along with your supporters. Not every non-white person is an illegal, actually just a tidbit for your supporters who do not know history, the Indians and Mexicans where the first inhabitants of this land! Mc Clintock I can't wait for the next election, you will lose! By posting this video on your site you might as well wear your white hood the next townhall meeting!
Town Hall Meeting
Thank you Congressman for your Town Hall meeting in Grass Valley. I was amazed at the overwhelming opposition to Government Healthcare in a predominate liberal community.
There can be no doubt that Washington knows where the majority stands on Health Care.
I also want to acknowledge the civility the opposition maintained with few exceptions.
Yep the majority 70+ % want
Yep the majority 70+ % want reform. But you can live in your own little worlds as long as you like.
When did America lose the
When did America lose the dream? It's time that we provide affordable healthcare for all our citizens. Since when can't the most prosperous country in the world realize that the health of our people, specially our children is as important as education? It's the logical next step, and to consider it 'socialism' just shows plain ignorance what socialism is.
President Obama was elected by the majority of people in this country because we WANT CHANGE! Nevada County voted for change and it's time we get it! "So you better start swimming or you'll sink like a stone, cause the time's they are a changin'!"
Did anyone wake Tom up after
Did anyone wake Tom up after the President's speech last night. He sat like a bump on a log the whole time. Come to think of it, when it comes to working for the people of his district, he is a bump on a log.
Did McClintock actually
Did McClintock actually display that funky flowchart that has been all over the internet poking fun at health care reform? He is a do nothing career politician, time to send him packing. Don't know to where as he moves around a lot to suit what office or offices he has his eyes on.
to Valerie, all the
to Valerie, all the government agencies you mention above employ people and pay for a portion of their health plan just as most large companies do as a benefit for their employees. This would be no different than if you worked for BofA or Apple. If you have to pay $1000 a month you are more than likely self employed. We have a capitalist form of government and when companies don't have to make money then the country will be moving toward socialism which is exactly what most of us are fighting. Why would you think that losing 73 jobs at "the county" would cause premiums to go down? Actually it causes them to go up because there are fewer people paying into the system. Insurance companies try to control costs for their plan participants as well as for the employers by denying what they may consider to be excessive costs. Tort reform would help this a lot. You need to figure out if you are a capitalist or socialist.
Health care
9-9-09
Post Obama health care speech to the American people. As usual excellent delivery. Words just words and more deception. So much was missing from this speech it's hard to know where to begin. First of all we still do not want government healthcare. Secondly if the federal employees and unions are not signed on to this program why force the American citizen to give up their health care coverage.
Healthcare reform, yes.
Tort reform, Obama say's he won't support special interest groups, well what about the trial lawyers - Insurance companies should be able to cross state lines - No one should be denied health care because of a pre-existing condition, and assistance for the poor. Do not ruin the best health care in the world just correct what needs to be done. Correct the waste in Medicaid and Medicare, we do not need a new health care bill to accomplish this reform.
Again, I repeat no to government run health care as this is just a trojan horse for socialism.
Just not a true picture at
Just not a true picture at all. There were many supporters of a Single Payer system at the Susanville meeting and a lot of people who were already part of our socialized systems and receiving benefits that I am paying for. I will actively campaign aganist you every chance I get in the future. Your an embarasment to our country.
Why embarrassment? Because
Why embarrassment? Because Tom disagrees with you? You're the embarrassment, you fascist supporter of a Single Thought system.
Nothing is what it seems
I'm a little concerned on the focus of this web-link and its simplistic view of Obama's health care plan as well as the overall support for McClintock. For one McClintock won by approximately 3,500 votes against Charlie brown. A thin margin according to Wikipedia. According to Wikipedia McClintock could not even vote for himself, because he's never lived in this district before and does not know how dynamic this district 4 is.
"Ironically, McClintock couldn't vote for himself in either the primary or the general election because the California Constitution required him to maintain his legal residence in his State Senate district until the end of his Senate term." - Wikipedia
this alone demonstrates that this district is just not as McClintock so simply states from his most recent mass e-mail dated 9-9-09:
" At the beginning of the town halls in Susanville, Grass Valley, and Cameron Park, I asked for a show of hands of how supported Obama's plan and who opposed it. At each of the town halls those who opposed the people outnumbers those in support by at least a 6 to 1 margin. all in agreement with McClintock is pitching to us voting citizens." - McClintock
I'm also concerned that the energy spent on condemning the plan, but could be better served on clearly stating what the real alternatives are, because our health care is in serious trouble from Small business health-care plans to Medicare/Medicaid. What is the future of the health of our people? We are deemed one of the most obese countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) ranks us an No. 9.
On this link McClintock has a title of a You Tub video stating:
"Uh Oh, Obama Here come the American People!!!" - McClintock You Tube Video
Yet the facts remain Obama won the majority of the public support when he one as president. According to CNN's website (http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/president/) Obama won 365 electoral votes and McCain accounted for only 173 electoral votes. It's plain and simple the majority of America supports Obama and his Administration. Myself and many others want real change, not the same old tricks. Nothing is ever simple, but we need to work together Republicans, Democrats and Independents. I'm one of those registered as an independent and want America to work together to support and protect it's people and to be a real example for other nations to follow.

Indeed you are a little confused. The subject is Health Care, not the election of Mr. McClintock. Could you please keep to the subject matter. The majority of us do not want a public health plan period! The uninsured are not the only one's feeling the crunch. And if you want a good example of the Obama plan, look at Social Security and Medicaid. This is what you will get. Yet another bankrupt health care system.
And yes illegals will be covered under the public plan. This is because the Dem's removed the line items (2) that require people to prove citizenship. Now ask why. Ask now. Obama is pushing HIS agenda...not the agenda of the majority of the American citizens. He is having closed sessions that do not include Republicans so how are the Republicans able to offer their options if Obama will not listen.
Valerie from Quincy Sept. 9th 2009
Valerie, I'm glad that you have voiced your opposition, after all it is still a part of the American system. Although based on recent events, I'm not too sure for how long. I can assure you that Congressman McClintock is NOT an embarasment to our country. He represents his constituents well. For every negative thing you put out, I will email, call and campaign at least ten people and ask them to do the same. A socialized system in America would bankcrupt our country, where is the morality in that? Socialized medicine will not produce additional care for anyone... Doctors today are not required to accept Medical or other government sponsored systems. You want to add 30-40 million people into a system that cannot support it. I suspect you would then require doctors to accept this form of payment. NOT my doctor! I want an experienced doctor that makes a lot of money. I want to know that my doctor is getting paid well for his/her years of dedication to the education requirements to become a doctor. I want to keep the best doctors in the world here in the US. Socialized systems trample on development and growth. I could go on and on. If you want a socialized system, feel free to move to Canada, Germany, or Spain.
I think you need to step back
I think you need to step back and actually look at our system. We already have Socialized medicine!! If you work for any form of government (Federal, State, County or City), you get your benefits from the Government (or ME the Taxpayer). If you're working poor you get Medicaid from the government (or ME the Taxpayer), if you're over 62 1/2 you get Medicare from the Government (again ME the Taxpayer!!!!!) So who isn't getting Socialized medicine? Those of us who work in the private sector and make enough $$ to afford health insurance or we get it as a part of our employment. Those of us who get it thru our employer might think it's "free" but it's not......it's actually very expensive for our employers and if they weren't putting that $$ towards our health insurance they would be putting it in our paychecks! So basically those of us who are paying the most for our health insurance are also paying for the poor, the elderly and the government workers! If everybody paid their fair share I guarantee I would end up with a net gain on my paycheck! My health insurance costs $9.25/hr!! That's over $1500.00 per month!!! Also, any type of insurance is essentially a form of Socialism....everybody chips in a little for the small percentage who might actually need a lot.......the trouble with our current system is that instead of everybody chipping in a little, a small percentage of us are chipping in a LOT while everyone else is getting a free ride. (You are probably one of those getting a free ride)>
Thank you for responding and
Thank you for responding and being plesant as well. As I look out there around my country as well as yours what I see are numerous socialized system that we support with our tax dollars. Let me make a short list of what I think.
All State and Federal government, police, highway patrol, CalTrans, CalFire, BLM, Forest Service, Schools, and Public Works just to name a few. Why is it okay for us to pay for their health benefits while barely being able to pay for our own which are now over $1,000 a month for two relatively healthy soles. How much of that premium dollar actually goes for health care and how much goes to Health Insurance Industry CEO's like William McQuire who makes $124 million a year in compensation? Our county has a line item budget of over $1 million a year for health insurance premiums. How much of that actually get those employees health care? How come we have lost 73 jobs at the county in the last few years and the premiums have not gone down? How is it possible that health insurance companies can be listed on the stock exchange? It appears that they and other health industry participants can only make money by denying benefits. Maybe some of those people are your neighbors and friends. What about campaign contributions to our legislators, both Democrates and Republicians, from health insurance companies? They are in the millions in some cases and where does that money come from? Denying benefits to people who have paid for health care is my guess. If that is incorrect, please tell me where the money does come from. The whole thing is sick and I am totally in favor of a single payer system where all the greedy are cut off totally and citizens of our country get health care.
